The short answer
Two ways to meet it, and you only need one.
The amount is one thing, the proof is another. The resolution names no number of months for the income route. We prepare six months of statements showing the foreign credits, our advice rather than a Brazilian rule, or a current balance statement for the savings route. The Embassy may ask for more, and that is a request, not a refusal.
What the government charges
A consular visa fee, paid in US dollars cash at HBL branches as the Embassy instructs. Its fee page does not list this visa, so we confirm the amount before you deposit. In Brazil, the Federal Police charge a processing fee and a card fee, both in reais. Insurance, attestation and translations are your own costs. Our fee is separate.

Your own business abroad
Reviewed before filing, because at least one embassy excludes owners. The savings route may be the stronger file.
Attestation proves a document is genuine. A sworn translation makes it usable. The Embassy's published lists ask for civil and police documents attested by Pakistan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, which now issues the apostille. Inside Brazil, the Federal Police say a foreign document needs a sworn Portuguese translation even when apostilled. We check what each of yours needs at each stage.
Ninety days to register. Once you enter Brazil, register with the Federal Police within 90 days to receive the national migration registration card. Residence runs for up to a year and can be renewed once for the same period, with the card and updated criminal record certificates.
Filing from Pakistan: through the Embassy of Brazil in Islamabad, which works by email and schedules in-person interviews, with honorary consulates in Karachi and Peshawar. Its visa page covers the visit visa and family reunion, not this one, so we confirm the list in writing first.

The resolution speaks of work for a foreign employer and accepts a service contract, which fits a freelancer with foreign clients. The Embassy in Manama states the visa is not available to business owners. An owner paying themselves through their own company is the case to review before filing.
Yes, on a separate family reunion visa. Brazil sets no extra income figure for them. The Embassy in Islamabad asks the family member already in Brazil for a notarised undertaking to support them, and family on that visa may work in Brazil.
The Embassy's published lists ask for civil and police documents attested by Pakistan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Inside Brazil, the Federal Police say foreign documents need a sworn translation into Portuguese even when apostilled. We check both before anything is sent.
Up to one year, and the residence can be renewed once for the same period, so two years in all on this route. You register with the Federal Police within 90 days of entering Brazil and receive a national migration registration card.
No. The resolution excludes anyone working for an employer in Brazil, with or without an employment contract, and the income has to come from a foreign paying source.
Receita Federal treats a temporary visa holder as tax resident from the day they complete 184 days in Brazil within twelve months, consecutive or not. Brazil publishes no exemption for digital nomads. Speak to a Brazilian adviser before you plan around it.
The resolution does not say it does, and we have not found an official page that says time on this route converts to indefinite residence. We do not claim that it does.
